Barcelona are reportedly interested in a summer transfer move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman following a request from Hansi Flick to reunite with the Frenchman.
According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, the German tactician wants to bring Coman to Catalonia after building up an excellent relationship with the 28-year-old during his time in Bavaria.
The La Liga leaders are actively searching for reinforcements as they aim to fortify their left-wing position for next season amid long-standing links to Luis Diaz and Nico Williams. Flick highly rates Coman’s ability in that role which makes him an eye-catching target for the Spanish giants in 2025.
Barcelona were interested in a move for Coman last summer, prior to Flick’s arrival at the Camp Nou, but that did not materialise into a formal offer.
With Flick enjoying a strong first year in charge, Barcelona are now looking to rekindle their interest in the former PSG attacker, as part of a summer squad update.
However, the main concern for Barcelona will be generating the funds needed for this type of transfer as they continue to strike a delicate financial balance. If they do opt to pursue Coman, it will need a significant transfer fee, and that would mean sales from Flick’s current roster.

Barcelona are still in a tight spot financially, which may prove decisive, and the Bavarians could accept an offer between €30-40m [$32m-43m] for one of their longest-serving players.
Despite Coman’s rumoured openness to leaving Bayern Munich this summer, a move to Barcelona is not his sole exit option, amid links Saudi Arabia and the Premier League. – as per Bundesliga expert Florian Plettenberg.
While Coman has almost spent an entire decade at Bayern, including a prior loan deal, which was made permanent in 2017, he continues to be a rotation option, with six goals in 34 appearances across all competitions in 2024/25.
The French international has won several accolades in his time at Bayern, including the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League crown under Flick. Interestingly, it was Coman who stepped up and scored the winning header in the final against Paris Saint-Germain.
