Manchester City are on the road this weekend as they head to Crystal Palace in a Premier League clash on December 7.

Pep Guardiola’s defending EPL champions sealed a morale-boosting 3-0 midweek home win over Nottingham Forest to end a miserable run of form.

Four successive league losses, and no win in seven across all competitions, had set a new benchmark as Guardiola’s worst streak of results in his managerial career.

Hosts Crystal Palace are currently 17th in the top-flight table, but they also secured a midweek win, as a 1-0 victory at Ipswich Town ended a four-game winless run for Oliver Glasner.

Glasner is unlikely to make major changes to a winning team, but he is boosted by some key returns ahead of the visit of City.

Japan star Daichi Kamada is back in contention following a three-game ban, and Chadi Riad should be fit enough for a matchday squad place after a knee problem.

However, midfield star Adam Wharton remains sidelined with a groin injury, amid rumours of City making a January transfer offer for the England international.

Guardiola is still balancing a growing injury list for City, but Phil Foden should return, after missing out against Forest due to illness.

However, his main concern comes in defence, with Manuel Akanji forced off at half-time in midweek, and Nathan Ake picking up an injury in the closing stages.

Both players are expected to miss out, with Kyle Walker on standby to return as cover, alongside Rico Lewis.
