Need help with filling out your fantasy football seasonal lineups for Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season? With injuries mounting in the second half and four more teams on a bye (Cleveland, Green Bay, Las Vegas, Seattle), keeping you without players such as David Njoku, Josh Jacobs, Brock Bowers and Kenneth Walker III, you probably do.

Vinnie Iyer is here for you again, back with another version of the Decider, a unique blend of positional rankings and start ‘em, sit ‘em advice. Let’s get into breaking down the best and worst plays in redraft based on matchups, usage, and other factors, plus some good price values to target in DFS.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Start ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Regular starts

  1. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (vs. CIN)
  2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (at DAL)
  3. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (at BAL)
  4. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (at IND)
  5. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (at TB)
  6. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. SF)
  7. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders (vs. PIT)

Stronger starts

8. Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings (at JAX): Darnold is taking full advantage of his system and weapons, and this is most giving matchup for the passing game.

9. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (at HOU): The Texans are capable of containing the run but are having a lot of problems covering anything downfield to wide receivers.

10. Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons (at NO): The Saints’ defense is falling apart, and Cousins is a solid high-floor play.

11. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. TEN): Herbert has been sharp the past two games and puts up similar numbers playing off the run at home.

12. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. DEN): Mahomes heated up on Monday night, and he owns the Broncos.

13. Daniel Jones, New York Giants (vs. CAR): Jones compiles again with his arm and legs in a favorable spot in Munich.

14. Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets (at ARI): Rodgers is revving up with his favorite receivers and the Cardinals can be giving to functional passing.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Sit ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Weaker starts

15. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals (vs. NYJ): Murray is hard to trust after the clunker vs. a tough Bears pass defense, and the Jets keep it tricky.

16. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (vs. MIA): The Dolphins can be run over in this game and can contain his receivers not named Cooper Kupp.

17. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (at LAR): The Rams’ defense is playing much better of late, and the pass rush can cause him more issues.

18. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans (vs. DET): The Lions can keep the pass rush pop going and make Stroud uncomfortable again.

19. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears (vs. NE): In theory, he should be better at home where he’s had his best games, but the state of the offense makes him difficult to trust.

20. Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers (at WAS): Without the reliable running, you cannot feel comfortable streaming him.

21. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos (at KC): Nix draws another tough spot on the road for a rookie, so avoid him again.

  17. Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. DEN)
  18. David Montgomery, Detroit Lions (at HOU)

Stronger starts

19. Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots (at CHI): The Bears got gashed against the run last week, and the Patriots will stick to that kind of game plan.

20. J.K. Dobbins, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. TEN): Dobbins comes through again with scoring and better rushing production than in Cleveland.

21. Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals (at BAL): He is the lead back in a tough matchup, but he can get the job done from scrimmage.

22. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers (vs. NYG): Keep rolling with him as he’s hot again, and the Giants remain vulnerable against the power run.

23. Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans (at LAC): The matchup is tough, but he’s getting the key touches, so he remains playable even if the Titans should plan to lessen his workload.

24. Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers (at WAS): Harris was cooled off by the bye, but the Commanders can be pounded well between the tackles.

25. Rico Dowdle, Dallas Cowboys (vs. PHI): He should be the centerpiece of the offense and can get some cheap PPR-leaning points in a negative game script.

DFS Picks

Fantasy Football Week 10 Sit ‘Em: Running backs

Weaker starts

26. Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers (at WAS): Warren should get some more touches to help Harris, but this even game script and the Commanders’ defense doesn’t point to a notable game.

27-28. Austin Ekeler and Brian Robinson Jr., Washington Commanders (vs. PIT). Ekeler may need to get more work should Robinson need to miss another game, and there’s also Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez in the mix in a tough spot.

29. Javonte Williams, Denver Broncos (at KC): Williams runs into a brutal matchup where he needs a TD to have playable value.

30. Devin Singletary, New York Giants (vs. CAR): He’s now working well behind the emerging Tracy.

31. Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins (at LAR): You can’t trust him to get enough touches with Achane seeing workhorse duty.

32-33. Travis Etienne Jr. and Tank Bigsby, Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. MIN): This backfield split is hurting both in a rough overall offense in a brutal home spot.

34. Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons (at NO): There might be a thought he gets key touches in a positive game script, but you never know his actual usage.

35-36. Bucky Irving and Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. SF): The top two heads of this monster don’t inspire, even if one gets a TD again.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Start ‘Em: Wide receivers

Regular starts

  1. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings (at JAX)
  2. Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals (at BAL)
  3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions (at HOU)
  4. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins (at LAR)
  5. Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams (vs. MIA)
  6. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets (at ARI)
  7. Nico Collins, Houston Texans (if he returns, vs. DET)
  8. A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles (at DAL)
  9. Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers (at TB)
  10. Malik Nabers, New York Giants (vs. CAR)
  11. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (at NO)
  12. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens (vs. CIN)
  13. DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (at DAL)
  14. Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders (vs. PIT)
  15. Davante Adams, New York Jets (at ARI)
  16. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys (if he plays, vs. PHI)
  17. George Pickens, Pittsburgh Steelers (at WAS)
  18. Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. MIN)
  19. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (vs. MIA)
  20. Tank Dell, Houston Texans (vs. DET)
  21. DeAndre Hopkins, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. DEN)
  22. Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons (at NO)

Stronger starts

23. Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers (at TB): Jennings should be healthy enough to pick up the slack for Brandon Aiyuk as Purdy lights up the Bucs.

24. Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions (at HOU): He should return with a bang against a secondary that can give up big plays. Downfield.

25. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals (vs. NYJ): Harrison has another brutal draw, but he still should be peppered more by Murray.

26. Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings (at JAX): Addison warmed up a bit last week and will become a bigger factor playing off Jefferson.

27. Amari Cooper, Buffalo Bills (if he plays, at IND): Cooper is battling a wrist injury, but the Colts are vulnerable enough outside to think he can rebound.

28. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears (vs. NE): Odunze is being trusted more by Williams as a co-rookie and can make more big plays here.

29. Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills (if he plays, vs. IND): He’s also banged up, but he can have similar success to Cooper.

30. Keenan Allen, Chicago Bears (at NE): Allen is doing his best to get open for Williams, and the Patriots do also have issues in the slot.

31. Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. TEN): He has the best matchup in a sneaky tough passing spot.

DFS picks

Fantasy Football Week 10 Sit ‘Em: Wide receivers

Weaker starts

32. D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears (at NE): You can’t play a disinterested player with no QB chemistry until he proves otherwise.

33. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (at LAR). He was bad even with a TD last week, so no.

34. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos (at KC): You can’t go here with Nix hitting a rough patch vs. their coverage and pressure.

35. Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans (at LAC): The Chargers’ pass defense can render him frustrated.

36. Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers (vs. TEN): The Titans have been tough in inside coverage, and they contain him.

37. Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills (at IND): The Bills will be trying to avoid Kenny Moore with great matchups elsewhere.

38. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. DEN): D-Hop can break through against the Broncos’ cornerbacks, but the rookie’s speed will be contained.

39. Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts (vs. BUF): Flacco’s play didn’t inspire on the road, and now the Bills’ defense is paying him a visit.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Start ‘Em: Tight ends

Must starts

  1. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (at TB)
  2. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. DEN)
  3. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (vs. CIN)
  4. T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings (at JAX)
  5. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals (vs. NYJ)
  6. Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. SF)
  7. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (at NO)
  8. Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. MIN)

Stronger starts

9. Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals (at BAL): Gesicki should stay on his heater helping Chase and Burrow with no Tee Higgins again.

10. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills (at IND): This is a great spot for him to stretch the field and return to the end zone.

11. Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints (vs. ATL): Passer? Runner? Receiver? They need to use him a lot more, and he likes compiling on the Falcons.

12. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (vs. NE): Kmet will be greased plenty here with the Patriots’ issues covering his posiiton.

13. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (at CHI): Henry keeps coming through with a steady floor working to get open for Drake Maye.

14. Theo Johnson, New York Giants (vs. CAR): He is finally getting more involved as he should, and he has the best matchup after looking fine and scoring last week.

DFS pick

Fantasy Football Week 10 Sit ‘Em: Tight ends

Weaker starts

15. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions (at HOU): LaPorta has been a strange afterthought in the offense; he’s big play or bust, so you can’t feel good about it.

16. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys (vs. PHI): The Eagles are containing the positiion well and no Dak hurts.

17. Jonnu Smith, Miami Dolphins (at LAR): The Rams can be giving to the tight end, but this is more a Tyreek and Achane game.

18. Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders (vs. PIT): The Steelers have enough inside to keep him quiet again.

19. Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina Panthers (vs. NYG): Sanders is coming on as a rookie, but this matchup goes back to cooling him off.

20. Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers (at WAS): He’s not seeing the ball a lot from Wilson yet, and the Commanders have been better than expected vs. tight ends.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Start ‘Em: Defense/special teams

Stronger starts

  1. Los Angeles Chargers (vs. TEN)
  2. Minnesota Vikings (at JAX)
  3. Chicago Bears (vs. NE)
  4. Buffalo Bills (at IND)
  5. Kansas City Chiefs (vs. DEN)
  6. Philadelphia Eagles (at DAL)

7. New York Giants (vs. CAR): You definitely get several sacks from them in Germany.

8. Detroit Lions (at HOU): They come through again vs. a struggling pass protection team.

9. Los Angeles Rams (vs. MIA): They have crept into the top 12 overall with their youth serving well and get the prime-time home emotional bump.

10. New York Jets (at ARI): They are definitely playable again after their pass rush revved up in Week 9 with Murray underwhelming.

11. Pittsburgh Steelers (at WAS): The Steelers need to be downgraded in a tougher matchup, but T.J. Watt makes them playable every non-bye.

12. Washington Commanders (vs. PIT): This game might be more defensive-minded than one thinks.

DFS pick

Fantasy Football Week 10 Sit ‘Em: Defenses

Weaker starts

13. Atlanta Falcons (at NO): They aren’t the best playmaking group despite the Saints in freefall.

14. San Francisco 49ers (at TB): They should disappoint on the road against a solid Bucs offense.

15. Arizona Cardinals (vs. NYJ): The Jets are figuring things out, and they’ll go back to having issues producing.

16. Denver Broncos (at KC): You can’t go there really vs. Mahomes.

17. New England Patriots (at CHI): Williams and the Bears’ offense will show much better.

18. Baltimore Ravens (vs. CIN): The Bengals can make it a big back-and-forth game with Jackson vs. Burrow.

There are also more injuries affecting teams as the league is getting past midseason.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Start ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Regular starts

  1. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. JAX)
  2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (vs. DEN)
  3. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders (at NYG)
  4. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (vs. MIA)
  5. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. LV)
  6. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (if he plays, vs. DET)
  7. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals (vs. CHI)
  8. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. TB)

Stronger starts

9. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (at ATL): Rayne Dakota should be busy with a high volume win or lose against a weak Falcons’ pass defense that can also take away the limited running game.

10. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (at SEA): Stafford is locked in with his top wide receivers healthy again and can make some big pass plays playing off the run.

11. Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks (vs. LAR): He should need some considerable volume in a tight back-and-forth affair vs. a vulnerable Rams pass defense at home.

12. Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons (vs. DAL): He also should be ready to chuck plenty again to keep up with Dak.

13. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears (at ARI): He should rebound in the desert, dueling fellow Heisman winner and No. 1 overall pick Murray.

14. Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings (vs. IND): He has a high floor of around 250 and 2 again despite a limited ceiling because of limited resistance from the Colts’ offense.

DFS pick

Fantasy Football Week 9 Sit ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Weaker starts

15. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos (at BAL): The numbers in the passing game say yes, but the Ravens also contain his rushing production, and this is still a long road trip for a rookie on the road seeing a big jump up in competition.

16. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at KC): Mayfield kept putting up numbers minus his top wide receivers on the Falcons, but this is a much tougher spot on the road in prime time.

17. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (at GB): Goff isn’t getting the big volume, and this is a tough passing matchup on the road and a much better spot for the dominant running game.

18. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans (at NYJ): You can’t go here on the road with wide receiver injury issues even though the Jets’ defense has shown a lot more cracks of late.

19. Jameis Winston, Cleveland Browns (vs. LAC): This is a much tougher spot at home as the Chargers’ pass defense can cause problems with pressure and coverage.

20. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (at BUF): Tua typically takes it on the chin when seeing the Bills’ defense.

  21. Aaron Jones, Minnesota Vikings (vs. IND)
  22. Tank Bigsby, Jacksonville Jaguars (at PHI)

Stronger starts

23. Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. LV): He’s the main main when they’re leading, and he should have a nice day against a wilting Raiders run defense.

24. Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants (vs. WAS): He needs to clear concussion protocol, but he’s hot and the Commanders can give up on the ground. Devin Singletary would be the play should Tracy miss the game.

25. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers (vs. NO): Hubbard should get more volume at home as the Saints aren’t built to run away with the game, even with the potential of Derek Carr returning.

26. Alexander Mattison, Las Vegas Raiders (at CIN): The Chiefs were a brutal spot for him. There will be much more running room against the Bengals on the road

27. Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins (at BUF): He’s not getting a lot of work, but he’s going back to being a reliable touchdown threat.

28. Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons (vs. DAL): He’s worth a FLEX shot working more behind Bijan given how bad the Cowboys’ run defense has been.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Sit ‘Em: Running backs

Weaker starts

29. J.K. Dobbins, Los Angeles Chargers (at CLE): The Browns have been become nasty vs. the run again with Myles Garrett leading the charge.

30. Javonte Williams, Denver Broncos (at BAL): It’s very difficult to get anything going ground-wise on the Ravens, just ask …

31. Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns (vs. LAC): After seeing Baltimore’s brutal front, he gets another tough matchup against L.A.

32. Bucky Irving and Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at KC): They are so tough on backs running and catching.

33. Braelon Allen, New York Jets (vs. HOU): He cools off by not getting the needed work behind Hall again.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Start ‘Em: Wide receivers

Regular starts

  1. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings (vs. IND)

  18. Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (at MIN)
  19. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens (vs. DEN)
  20. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals (vs. CHI)
  21. Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans (vs. NE)
  22. D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears (at ARI)
  23. Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons (vs. DAL)
  24. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (at BUF)

Stronger starts

25. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. TB): He should come through again out of necessity playing off Travis Kelce in a good secondary matchup for Mahomes.

26. Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers (at CLE): This next AFC West rookie also got revved up last week with a pair of TDs from Herbert and the Browns are beatable on the back end.

27. Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills (vs. MIA): He should be the one reliable option from their three wideouts given the matchups and high-leverage targets.

28. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos (at BAL): He got going again with Nix and should get open often against the Ravens.

29. Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers (vs. DET): No Love doesn’t mean Romeo can’t click well with Willis playing off Reed against a bad pass defense.

30. Keenan Allen, Chicago Bears (at ARI): The Cardinals can struggle a bit to contain the slot, and his savvy can deliver.

31. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks (vs. LAR): He needs to get going again, and this secondary can oblige, especially if Metcalf can go to take coverage.

32. Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts (at MIN): Here’s hoping the pivot to Joe Flacco makes him a more effective intermediate target working off Downs stretching the field horizontally and vertically.

DFS picks

Fantasy Football Week 9 Sit ‘Em: Wide receivers

Weaker starts

33. Tank Dell, Houston Texans (at NYJ): Without Diggs and Nico Collins, Dell will find it hard to get open as a marked man by strong corners everywhere.

34. Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns (vs. LAC): The youngster will be contained by a very good secondary.

35. Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders (at CIN): The idea isn’t bad, but the execution doesn’t inspire.

36. Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings (vs. IND): It’s difficult to feel good about his target share with Hockenson returning, too.

37. Amari Cooper, Buffalo Bills (vs. MIA): The vet route-runner will be more of a facilitator again for Coleman and others.

38. DeAndre Hopkins, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. TB): The name is big and the matchup is solid, but take a wait-and-see approach on how much they plan to use him.

39. Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants (vs. WAS): He scored in the first meeting, but his targets have gone down of late.

40. Diontae Johnson, Baltimore Ravens (vs. DEN): He goes from a primary spot to a shaky one with his new team.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Start ‘Em: Tight ends

Must starts

  1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. TB)
  2. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders (at CIN)
  3. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions (at GB)
  4. Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at KC)
  5. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals (vs. CHI)
  6. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (vs. DAL)
  7. Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars (at PHI)
  8. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (vs. DEN)

Stronger starts

9. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys (at ATL): Ferguson should be busy as Prescott puts up a lot of intermediate passing on the road.

10. David Njoku, Cleveland Browns (vs. LAC): He’s feeling it with Winston, so you need to keep going there.

11. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills (vs. MIA): The matchup is a little tougher this week, but the Dolphins did allow some good downfield work to McBride.

12. T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings (vs. IND): If he’s healthy enough to play and help out their passing game, he should be playable in fantasy.

13. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (vs. DET): It’s a tougher spot with Alex Anzalone roaming in coverage, but he can still get it done with a TD.

14. Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. LV): Should Tee Higgins miss another game, fire him up in a sweet spot where Kelce just scored for the first time.

DFS pick

Fantasy Football Week 9 Sit ‘Em: Tight ends

Weaker starts

15. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (at ARI): He’s become a boom-or-bust TE, but here’s thinking he falls into the disappointing realm again.

16. Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders (at NYG): He’s been getting the targets, but the matchup isn’t great given Pat Freiermuth just disappeared.

17. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (at TEN): The Titans are typically tough on tight ends, with the Lions being the one anomaly.

18. Tyler Conklin, New York Jets (vs. HOU): Aaron Rodgers needs to grease his wide receivers more on TNF.

19. Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (at NYJ): He’s just not being targeted enough to go there even without Stefon Diggs.

20. Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks (vs. LA): The numbers say yes for his position, but they’re just not forcing targets his way with A.J. Barner also involved.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Start ‘Em: Defense/special teams

Stronger starts

  1. Minnesota Vikings (vs. IND)
  2. Kansas City Chiefs (vs. TB)
  3. Los Angeles Chargers (at CLE)
  4. New York Jets (vs. HOU)
  5. Baltimore Ravens (vs. DEN)
  6. Buffalo Bills (vs. MIA)
  7. New Orleans Saints (at CAR)
  8. Washington Commanders (vs. NYG)

9. Philadelphia Eagles (vs. JAX): You can roll with them as they are improved and should be able to tee off a bit on Trevor Lawrence.

10. Cincinnati Bengals (vs. LV): They can build a lead with Burrow so they can bury the Raiders in the second half.

11. New England Patriots (at TEN): The matchup is too good to not give them a one-week streaming shot.

12. Tennessee Titans (vs. NE): You can also play the home team depending on the QB situation for the Patriots, which will be more appealing with Jacoby Brissett.

13. Chicago Bears (at ARI): Kyler is playing better, but you can still take a shot on them after they mostly shut down the Commanders on the road.

DFS pick

Fantasy Football Week 9 Sit ‘Em: Defenses

Weaker starts

14. Houston Texans (at NYJ): The Texans can be giving in the passing game and being on the road in prime time can be a let down.

15. Green Bay Packers (vs. DET): The Packers are playable in most weeks when they will get takeaways, but that’s dicey vs. the Lions.

16. Detroit Lions (at GB): They were a good rental vs. the Titans, but they’re just not good enough to keep playing, especially in Lambeau.

17. Cleveland Browns (vs. LAC): They can stop the run to give them a chance, but Justin Herbert is getting too hot to handle.

18. Denver Broncos (at BAL): The Ravens will likely turn to running all over them to limit the big-play opportunities.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Start ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Regular starts

  1. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (at CIN)
  2. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (at JAX)
  3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (at CLE)
  4. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (at SEA)
  5. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders (if he plays, vs. CHI)

Stronger starts;;

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans (vs. IND): Stroud should rebound nicely at home as the Colts have given it up all over the field outside to QBs.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (at LV): Mahomes has been a QB2 all season, but that massive TD game can happen in Vegas.

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (vs. DAL): Purdy has been a little rough with turnovers and forcing the action, but he keeps finding a way to compile with both his arm and legs.

Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings (at LAR): Darnold is going back to L.A. and will love seeing a beatable secondary with his immense weapons.

Bo Nix, Denver Broncos (vs. CAR): Nix can keep bringing it wih his legs and arm in a smash spot against a depleted defense at home.

Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears (at WAS): He’ll be ready after a bye to let it loose in a hopeful duel with Daniels.

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (vs. ARI): If he’s back, it should be back to business as usual for his explosive offense again.

Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. NYG): He looked great last week and can light up this team with his mobility to extend pass plays.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Weaker starts

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (vs. TEN): The Titans are tight on allowing passing game points despite what Allen did, so this should be a run-dominated positive game script without a key downfield weapon.

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals (at MIA): He was fortunate to save his fantasy night with a long TD run on a busted play by the Chargers, but he runs into a tough time as a dual threat here.

Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks (vs. BUF): The Seahawks will need to run and throw to backs to beat the Bills especially with DK hurting.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (at SF): You can’t trust him in tougher matchups on the road, which this is.

Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets (at NE): He can easily put up a couple TDs, but game script and matchup says this will be a runaway get-well win.

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (vs. MIN): The Vikings can give up yards, but be wary of multiple sacks and turnovers involving him.

Anthony Richardson, Colts (at HOU): There’s evidence, running or otherwise, to think this is a comfortable play.

Drake Maye, New England Patriots (vs. NYJ): Maye can have some success throwing short-to-intermediate passes inside, but he cools off big time.

Stronger starts

Jordan Mason, San Francisco 49ers (vs. DAL): Keep rolling with him as the 49ers should go run-heavy in a good matchup to take pressure off Purdy.

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers (at DEN): He’s still getting the volume, and you need to run to have any chance of beating the Broncos.

Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. NYG): They should keep delivering as a 1-2 punch after Saquon crushed the Giants on the ground in another positive game script vs. the Giants.

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots (vs. NYJ): Give him a fair chance to rebound in what could be a more favorable tighter game.

Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans (at DET): This is a volume-based play because the matchup is otherwise tough.

Braelon Allen, New York Jets (at NE): He should get back to having a key scrimmage game like he did the first time.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em: Running backs

Weaker starts

Alexander Mattison, Las Vegas Raiders (vs. KC): The Chiefs become absolutely nasty against the run.

Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns (vs. BAL): This is a terrible power-running game spot.

Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins (at IND): He’s going to take a big back seat to Achane this week.

Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons (at TB): He could in theory get more work in a positive game script, but it’s a major risk.

Austin Ekeler, Washington Commanders (vs. CHI): He’s hard to trust in this committee.

Chase Brown and Zack Moss, Cincinnati Bengals (vs. PHI): Brown and Moss are gathering some cancellation in tougher matchups.

Bucky Irving and Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. ATL): This is a brutal split vs. a tough run defense with a weakened overall offense.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary, New York Giants (at PIT): This is a tough matchup for a split committee with no good passing game.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Start ‘Em: Wide receivers

  22. Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. GB)
  23. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens (if he plays, at CLE)
  24. Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons (at TB)

Stronger starts

Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers (at JAX): Doubs has been feeling the Love with his appropriate first name of late since a team issue and he can keep it up in this great spot.

Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns (vs. BAL): Tillman will remain busy with Jameis Winston taking over the offense, and this matchup is as good as it gets.

Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs (at LV): They should unlock him more as a speedster against the Raiders’ defense as a change-of-pace runner and deep receiver.

Christian Kirk, Jacksonville Jaguars (vs.GB): Kirk is being trade-rumored so he could use a showcase game against a team with some slot concerns.

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans (at DET): Ridley can maybe have a real shot at some garbage-time production for Mason Rudolph in a badly negative game script.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals (at MIA): The rookie might seem sit-able, but youth can be served against two slowing-down corners.

Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers (if he returns, vs. DAL): They need him more than ever as a supersub before the bye in a must-win situation in a favorable spot overall, inside and out.

Keenan Allen, Chicago Bears (at WAS): The Commanders aren’t so good at inside coverage, and he came to life with Williams before the bye.

Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings (at LAR): He can provide more solid WR3 work vs. their corners.

Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants (at PIT): He actually can get open well as a short-area guy here with Nabers facing the tougher spot.

DFS picks

Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em: Wide receivers

Weaker starts

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (at JAX): Doubs and Reed are fine; Watson is a high-risk uncertain reward play.

Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks (vs. BUF): The Bills’ corners are tough, and they can be tougher for him with Metcalf out.

Jalen Tolbert, Dallas Cowboys (at SF): Tolbert may not be so free outside as Lamb eats up targets.

Tank Dell, Houston Texans (vs. IND). Dude, you’re getting a Dell out of your lineup after a zero and Kenny Moore lurking as part of the coverage.

DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots (vs. NYJ): You can’t go here with their sneaky good slot coverage.

Diontae Johnson, Carolina Panthers (at DEN): He should almost for “Surtain” see tricky coverage from any Broncos corner.

Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (at HOU): Richardson says no to both, and you should too

Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills (at SEA): There are some guys who can contain him and Khalil Shakir on the Seahawks.

Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos (vs. CAR): The other rookies are Nix’s bestes now.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Start ‘Em: Tight ends

Must starts

  1. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders (vs. KC)
  2. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (if he plays, vs. DAL)

  6. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (at TB)
  7. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (at CLE) D
  8. alton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills (at SEA)

Stronger starts

Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at ATL): He’s the man for Baker and Liam after posting a hundy in another good matchup with the starting wideouts down.

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns (vs. BAL):  He’s the man for Jameis and Ken with Deshaun Watson down.

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (vs NYJ): The Jets really have trouble with downfield tight ends.

Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (vs. JAX): He has a good chance to score with a 5-50 line to join the wideouts in the fun.

Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (at WAS): The Commanders can give up good downfield yardage with their safety concerns.

Ja’Tavion Sanders, Carolina Panthers (at DEN). He should remain busy as their safest option as a rookie.

DFS pick

Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em: Tight ends

Weaker starts

Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions (vs. TEN): Here’s hoping for a reverse jinx, and he gets involved in the offense even though this is the most difficult tight end draw in the league.

Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. NYG): He’s sharing more work in the passing game and can see limited work from Wilson.

Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders (vs. CHI): He goes back to the bench in a tougher spot.

Tyler Conklin, New York Jets (at NE): He also will cool down after scoring last week as this is a game for the wide receivers to get going.

Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (vs. IND): In theory, yes. In practice, no.

Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens (at CLE): Andrews has restored some normalcy for them at the position of late.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Start ‘Em: Defense/special teams

Stronger starts

Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. NYG): Daniel Jones is reeling, and T.J. Watt is due for a monster game.

Kansas City Chiefs (at LV): They will actually be happy to see Gardner Minshew vs. Aidan O’Connell.

Denver Broncos (vs. CAR): They can put up some Mile High big plays.

Minnesota Vikings (at LAR): The Vikings should make multiple big plays vs. Stafford.

Los Angeles Chargers (vs. NO): They were still pretty good even when losing and giving up one big rushing play to Murray on MNF and now get Spencer Rattler.

New York Jets (at NE): They can cause some problems for Maye.

Detroit Lions (vs. TEN): They are widely availlable to take advantage of the best by-the-numbers matchup.

Baltimore Ravens (at CLE): They can get some turnovers off Winston through his high passing volume.

San Francisco 49ers (vs. DAL): This part of the ball should be A-OK vs. Dak.

Green Bay Packers (at JAX): They are like the Vikings, making the fantasy-friendly plays almost every week.

Houston Texans (vs. IND): They have a shot to wreak some havoc on Richardson at home.

DFS pick

Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em: Defenses

Weaker starts

Buffalo Bills (at SEA): The Seahawks’ offense is operating too functionally.

New Orleans Saints (at LAC): Not with that ugly tackling.

Chicago Bears (at WAS): Not against a solid running team.

Washington Commanders (vs. CHI): They cool off vs. a much more potent offense led by Williams.

Dallas Cowboys (at SF): You can cut them from consideration if you haven’t already.
